Look on the axle tube and there should be tags/stickers with all the info you will need about what you have and the phone #.

Same here. We took it into the dealer for a routine inspection and they found the worn inner tire and found the cause within seconds. Replaced the axle quickly ( I think it was in the shop awaiting the part for two days)
Should be under warranty.

If you bought 9-18 wouldn't the 2 year warranty still be in effect.?

We bought ours from PP in Morgan hill.
Linda the service writer can be rude!

I had bent axles on my 26 BH. I was always 900 pounds or more under GVWR
Seems to me there are a lot of this happening out there. Are the axles truely not strong enough for the weight ratings of the trailers? I highly doubt everyone is overloading their trailers like the manufacturers try to claim. Maybe manufacturers need to start using a higher rated weight axle for the trailers?

I would call Jayco and explain the situation. Why would the purchasing dealer say no warranty?
Just get the problem documented with someone. Hopefully jyco can suggest another dealer for warranty fulfillment.

Why don't you just get an alignment done? No need to replace the axle. As far as I understand it a good alignment shop will bend the axle to restore proper alignment. I am planning to do this in the spring as we have the same issue of one tire wearing on the inside. We are way out of warranty though, so if you can get it fixed under warranty definitely do that but you should not need to replace the axle.

Cheers

The 3500# Dexter axles are junk.

I have had to replace the rear axle twice.

Typically anything "bent" is considered damage and not covered by warranty. There appear to be exceptions though based on previous replies to this thread.

My 26BH was still under warranty at the time. Neither Jayco or Dexter would cover it under warranty. Said I either over loaded the trailer or hit a curb ( of which I did neither of)

It was the rear axel that was bent. I had tp pay to get it replaced. I forget but something like $1400. Axel and Shipping alone was like $700.00

KNOCK ON WOOD, But I have had no issues with my 28BHBE
