Black water tank leaking

Ok well I am a new member here and I have bought a 2002 jayco 29n about a month or so ago and now I am finding some issues that are not to pleasant to deal with. The first one being the black water tank is leaking from around where the vent pipe and the toilet go into the tank. I now need to remove the tank do I can see what I need to do to repair it. I have taken the toilet out and removed the flange ring bolts that are on the inside but I still can not get the clang ring off what is the secret? Also I have removed the straps that hold the tank up and taken the brackets off that hold up the black water tank and I just can't figure ou how the vent and the toilet are hooked to the black tank any help is certainly appreciated thank you
