My trailer is going on 4 yrs. old. The coupler is shot. Won’t allow me to hook-up or unhook. The release mechanism has failed. Took it in to the dealer & the only way they were able to unhook was to relieve pressure on the receiver & drive forward to remove.
So, they ordered another coupler & will have to grind off the old one & weld the new one on. I’ll probably be out a grand on this.
What do you all think are the odds of Jayco covering the cost?
Sorry for the bad news, but unless you bought your trailer brand new and have an extended warranty, the chances of Jayco covering this repair is virtually nil.

It would be LIPPERT since they built the frame. At one time they had a 5 year frame warranty. Check with them.
