Supposedly Jayco uses some type of water/rot resistant wood on the underside. However, we have all heard of the soft floor issues around hatches and showers.
If it was me, I would peel back the plastic, and find good solid wood. Then I would seal the wood with a wood preserver. I personally like a home brew version of Boiled Linseed oil, turpentine and kerosene, equal amounts. Less Boiled Linseed oil is fine. Be careful with rags, as boiled linseed oil can self combust when contained. I brush it on until it does not want to absorb in to the wood. Surprisingly how much the would can absorb if it is dry and rotting. It can take a month for it to fully dry, as it soaks in deep. It will be solid after that, and you can paint it afterwards.
