Fastway Flip 6" Automatic Jack Foot

Anybody using one of these Fastway Flip Jack foots? Does it work? Are there any issues with them to consider?

Wow. I didn't even know that existed. I'm going to di into it more, but I put it on my Amazon wish list. It would definitely solve my issue of getting enough height to take off my Equalizer bars.

I've used one for the past 6 years. Love it and The only "issue" I had was on one single setup the foot didn't fully seat and at some point the weight of the camper helped it do so. When it did drop in it made a very loud and distinctive noise that sounded like the camper was falling! Otherwise not a single issue...

I had one several years ago and gave it away, replacing it with a Husky.

Fastway (you gain up to 6" height minus wheel if you had one):
Pro- avoid some blocking under jack, is fairly sturdy on a light weight trailer, simple to use.

Con- you always have to deploy it, even when not needed. It is only 'rated' at 1,400 lbs MAX, wobbles a bit and may not deploy properly (as described by OP when it did not fully 'seat')

I replaced it with a Husky Brut Super Foot. Pull a spring loaded pin to deploy or secure in up position. Gain around 12" (less if you want to shorten it).

Pro- more sturdy, rated at 6500 pounds. You may use extended or folded. I usually put one 2x6 under it and don't extend it (by design, it lays flat on board) If I have to raise tongue quite a bit I extend it without anything under it. You can shorten it by cutting off a bit and drill new holes. Easy install, but read directions. You use one hole for manual jack, the other hole for power jack.

If you get either one be sure and first chock the wheel under load before unhooking the trailer as you should be doing anyway. If you don't and the trailer moves a bit there is obvious stress on the foot (and the jack).

OH, P.S......
Be sure that either one is secured before driving off. Some things should not be left hanging.
I am sure of this part based on experience.

I liked mine on lighter trailers, but I think I would opt for Gary's suggestion above for my bunkhouse.

I received mine last Friday. On the first install I discovered the existing hole in the jack tube was a bit too low and the jack foot wouldn't retract quite high enough. This problem is solved by re-drilling a new hole higher up on the jack tube or adding a second spacer. I didn't want to drill a second hole, so I called Customer Service and they are sending a second spacer, no charge.

In the mean time I made a makeshift spacer and installed the jack foot yesterday. Works as advertised. I bought mine from Amazon, less $$ than Camping World. When I receive the second spacer I will use that instead of my DIY one.
