Question First timer Jayco Flight 244 bhs manual jack breaking?

Hello all, just got our new TT in January. We’ll be taking it out for our first adventure this weekend. This forum is a great help with trials, errors, and tips from all of y’all. I’m trying figure out the whole de-winterizing process. Thanks for all of the posts.

Scratch the first trip🤬

Long story short, while hooking up trailer to truck, jack handle broke off and RV was on ball but I was not comfortable to pull it. It had just slipped off previously while pulling slightly forward. We were in our trailer storage lot, and a nice couple was driving by and asked if we needed help. They helped us jack up trailer enough to pop off the hitch. RVer’s are awesome! They had just driven back from the gulf coast to Maryland. And still stayed with us until we separated the truck. Anyone have similar issues with the manual jack breaking?
