Just Purchased! I'm in the Jayco Fam!

Just bought a 2020 Jayco Jay Flight SLX BH174 BAJA package

Couple weeks ago I sold a 27 footer and was in the market for something smaller and more nimble - Living in the mountains of Colorado we were looking for something we could take a little deeper - After looking at about a dozen or so makes and models we found this little unit to be the most affordable and fit our family of 4's needs. We spend 92 percent of our time outside the trailer and usually face plant in our beds and wake up and go back outside. My trailer is currently in for "handling" and I'm sure the "Accessory" dude will call any moment to see what upgrades I might want. Any advice on upgrades before the little dude leaves the shop?
THanks!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Jayco. It's good to see another Baja owner joining the ranks.

I have a 195RB which is very similar. Here are a few I have done that make it more comfortable and easier to use, you may already have some of them.
Front Stabilizers
Power tongue jack
Andersen hitch, Andersen leveler
Hidden hinges with self closing on the hatch to access pump and drain cocks.
AC heater element for the water heater ( mine was gas only)
Zinus 10 inch mattress to replace factory mattress filed with newspapers? LOL
Bed lifters to make getting under bed storage more convenient.
Better seat cushions for the dinette cause my butt needs more padding

Shelves and racks in pantry for better storage and access
Shower head with shutoff button on handle to save water. Better shower curtain.

TO DO; Solar panel and controller
Bath wall cabinet
Shower rod that folds in and out
Retractable drying line for shower to hang towels on to dry.
the rest I will remember after I hit post

Congrats! There are a couple of threads of mods on those size campers (particularly one by 01Tundra and his previous Hummingbird) that are really great. Hope this helps and welcome to the forum.

Just got the call that she will be ready on Friday morning! A little walk thru and orientation - and then... Time for the driveway! THEN - the open road!

Most State parks are closed right now because of this virus stupidity and some Counties have actually closed down to non residents. Definitely confirm that any particular place you plan on going to is actually open and get a Name and ID # of an individual that states a location is open. It saved a buddy a citation when RANGER wanted to cite him for a legally Camping. He was able to call the Ranger Station ask for that individual and their ID number then get them to confirm The information he was told.

Oh and pictures or it never happened!

Very nice, love taking the dog camping. Take some time to load it, set up the hitch and get it weighed. Based on your name I’m assuming you’re in the Colorado Springs surrounding area. There’s a scale that you can use at Daniels moving right off of Fillmore and Sinton Rd. There’s also cat scale down off the Fountain & Santa Fe exit however that one you will not have the time to hook and unhook like you will at Daniels. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
