Outdoor kitchen question

We just bought our Jayco Jay Flight 267BHSW which has an outdoor kitchen. The day we signed the papers, we noticed the outdoor kitchen drawers weren’t in there. The salesman said he would get them in by the time we picked up the trailer. He called today saying Jayco doesn’t put the drawers in anymore because of some warranty issue so now we just have two holes in our outdoor kitchen where the drawers should be going. Has anyone heard of this? Or should I push the issue with the salesman?

On our 2022 25rb, the outdoor kitchen has the painted hammered steel draw.
No lock on it, so every turn it was hitting the door. I eventually realized it when that end of the door latch bent the frame where the latch is. A few love taps, door will latch again, duct tape is the temporary fix for the draw.

I would bet Jayco had to replace some doors.

I would not accept delivery with the 2 empty spaces there. Do you have the salesman's statement in writing? I haven't heard of any "warranty issue" preventing drawers from being placed in an outdoor kitchen. I was at a show recently, and every unit on display has drawers.

My guess is that your Dealership needed the trailer drawers to sell, or possible cover another trailer's warranty issue, so they robbed yours in hopes of replacing them before they sold the unit. You and the DW came in before they could replace them so they made up that story they told you to save face.

As others have said, hold their feet to the fire and have the Dealer replace the drawers before you take delivery.

As others have said, hold their feet to the fire and have the Dealer replace the drawers before you take delivery.

Also sucks to start off on a bad foot with a new RV. Don’t let that discourage you.

My 2022 was missing a few "standard" items. I contacted Jayco customer service directly and started a case. All parts were sent to me directly for installation.
