Oven in the Jayflight takes forever to cook

Does anyone else's oven take forever to cook. Over an hour on a tray of tator tots and hashbrowns?

Maybe I am doing something wrong? I get the burners lit to highest temp on the dial, and still takes forever to cook. Is this normal?

Mine cooks too fast, I have to be very careful and keep the temp a little lower and also keep a ceramic square in it to help keep from burning things.

I wonder if your flame is too small. What about your stove top, does it have a strong flame on the burners? ~CA

Stove top works perfect. I would assume since it is much smaller, in theory, it should cook a lot faster. Really want to make pizzas, but will keep tinkering with it.

The burner should be blue with yellow topped flames. Have you checked to make sure the burner stays on or that it's igniting?

Stove

I have a brand new 212QBW trailer and there is a propane manifold under the driver side behind the real wheel with hoses going out of it one leading to the other side towards the stove is kinked I have not used the stove yet. Might be your problem worth a look.

You can buy a cheap oven thermometer to check the temp. It should go up to 400+. It should cook something like tater tots, pizza in a similar time as a home oven.

As others state, they usually burn the bottom of everything. I flattened out a disposal aluminum roaster pan and put that in there as a shield to keep the bottom of food from burning.

We're always trying to slow down cook times. A thermometer is the first step. Check the flame. Perhaps some of the burner is blocked.

I have a 2022 264BH. First time using the oven to cook a frozen pizza at 425f (indicated on the dial) it took an hour. The second time I cooked a frozen pizza, we set it to almost max (on the dial) and it took 15-20 min, just like at home. In my case, the dial #s are to low, crank it up!

We have a 2019 Jayco 264BHW and based on an oven thermostat we purchased for this express purpose, our oven is always about 25 degrees cooler than what the oven dial indicates. So we either cook a little longer or turn the dial up to a higher temperature, depending on the food we're cooking.
