packed and ready go to question

so if I have the tt hooked up, fridge cold and stocked.
all I have to do is come home from work, jump in and leave for campground.
I have two ??
1 do I keep the tongue jack down to keep resting weight off TV hitch until ready to pull out ?
2 should I plug in 7 pin night before with shore power hooked up till ready to go or not hook up 7 pin ?
I'm a newbie so have to ask rookie questions.
thanks

1) Not sure it matters, other than keeping your trailer level if you got the fridge running, but if you do, don't forget you did! That could be a mess!
2) I believe it's totally safe to do so, I kept mine connected once the whole weekend we were camping while connected to Shore power.
