Side mount A/C

What do you all use to cover the side mount A/C? I have a 2018 JAY FLIGHT SLX 195rb we where on the coast in the middle of a rain storm with high winds (25 to 70 mph) and it was blowing into the a/c and dripping down wall Was wondering what is out there if anything?
Thanks

Mine has never leaked inside. From other posts some have found that theirs was not installed with the right tilt to the outside for the drip tray. Or the drip tray hole may be plugged. It should not leak inside in any situation so I think you should do exploratory surgery and pull it out.

I covered mine the first year with a piece of Plexiglas.

After that I remembered that these air conditioners are meant to be outside. Covering them may trap water in them allowing for more rust.

No problems for the last two years.
