"Sleepability" of the Convertable Sofa

Just curious if someone could shed some light on the comfort of the sofa bed option on the trailers. Looks like they use the same sofa bed on many trailers. Can you sleep 2?

Also, do I understand the jackknife sofa is not a pull out bed?

My issue is that we would like a bed for a couple and don't want to stick them in the bunkhouse with kids.

If its a jackknife sofa like mine, one adult is plenty IMO. Tow small kids, maybe...The jackknife just folds down, so you only have the top and bottom cushions as surface area. It is not a pullout bed. Of course the dinette will sleep one adult as well, if you have one. Jayco lists my trailer as "sleeps 7 to 9" but 9 would be 2 on the dinette and 2 on the sofa bed.

My 16 year olds best friend slept on the jackknife and said only one side of it was comfortable. He said the cushion was way too stiff at first so we removed them. Then on the second trip a friend of mine (mid 40's) slept on the dinette bed. He said it was not bad at all and given it was cold was glad the heating duct came out in the main cabin. So I would say you can sleep on adult reasonably comfortable on the dinette and or our Jackknife sofa's.

You are referring to the sofa bed not the jack knife sofa if I am correct. My daughter slept on it and didn't complain. It folds out and 2 can definately sleep on it. It's not a complete matress, but it folds out more like a normal sofa sleeper. Definately an upgrade to the jack Knife.

Ours is Queen size and sleeps my 16 year old just fine. I bet a married couple would complain however. :-)

We opted for the hide a bed on our TT. It has an air mattress and my BIL and SIL sleep on it when they camp with us, neither one is small, and they say it is very comfortable.
