It wouldn’t be so bad if the top wasn’t so heavy

We always travel with the table down. It's the kind with folding ironing board type legs. It's a heavy piece of particle board and awkward to raise and lower. The end against the wall slips off the edge of the bench seats and flops sideways occasionally taking a chunk out of the bench seat in the process. A real pain. Solved the problem by putting it on my wife's job list.

Well, not really. I attached a piece of 1" X 2" aluminum L from bench seat to bench seat along the wall with one screw in each bench frame. The L is barely visible but makes raising and lowering the table simple. The whole table rests on the entire length of the 2" L surface and doesn't flop around anymore. One of the best things I've done to this trailer. Maybe Jayco could take a hint but it would cost money and time.

We gave a 23rbm with the folding table and leave it up. I tuck it in between end cabinet and sofa in front of Murphy bed against the wall and sofa with soft blanket over top to cushion edges . They are a pain to put up and down. Only do it if one of the grandkids are gonna sleep inside.

We have traveled with ours up exclusively for the last 2 years and never gave it a second though. We have the two round posts with the floor sockets.

We don't lower the table into a bed, so I was thinking of trying to fasten the table to the wall so it doesn't wobble when we're all eating cereal and drinking OJ for breakfast and someone accidentally bumps the table while shuffling into the bench and all our OJs spill

When I dewinterize it next month, I'm going to look at the sockets and also come up with a solution to fasten the table to the wall.

What size screws would you use? I may try it too.

I travel with mine up all the time. Never had a problem on the road. But I hated the instability of the two pedestals. Every time I got up from the dinette, I spilled my coffee! So I made a little stabilizer out of several lengths of right-angle steel (Home Depot) with holes, so I could screw them together easily. Top bar, two "legs", and two more in an X to stabilize the unit. Screwed the top bar to the underside of the table. Works like a charm, and a lot less wobbling! Of course, this won't work if you use the table for sleeping.

I travel with mine down so I can put the sleeping bags and Tunces blanket on it. It only takes 2 fingers to do it and it sticks out from the window about 1/2”.
