Well, had to winterize AGAIN!

Mother nature just isn't cooperating here in the Midwest. Nasty cold front moved in last night requiring me to "winterize" AGAIN. If JOF members remember one of my prior post "to de-winterize then winterize", sure enough had to winterize and I aint happy 'bout it! OK, sorry...I'm just belly acheing!!!

So I did a full water system sanization last wkd before 1st outting. Then last night I just winterized, drain wtr htr and open bypass, pump in pink stuff and flush through all faucets. So now since I've sanitized holding tank and lines, and pink stuff is only in water lines.....I think now I'll just flush out pink stuff, mix up bleach/water solution, and just sanitize water lines only. Should be just fine I would think? Especially since we don't drink from water tanks. What say you JOF members????

Weather guessers here say it may dip below freezing a couple of nights later this week. Don't dare de-winterized for at least another week just to be sure!

Winterizing
We winterized in Oct before heading South. Dewinterized in Nov. Winterized early Dec to leave trailer since going home for Christmas. Dewinterized end of Dec. Winterized again this week since now back home and going below freezing.
Does practice make perfect?
Hopefully it will turn and stay warm very soon

Sorry you had to do this again. Mine is still winterized so envious that you even sanitized and got in a trip already. This winter's been brutal. Perhaps if you don't have one already or you don't know a friend with one, invest in a small pancake air comp. The blow out method would get you through these brief cold snaps in the fall and spring without much work and you would not need to flush and sanitize again. I've had to do it in the fall already here before a Halloween trip and it saves a lot of work. It also cuts down on the amount of pink juice you need to get the system done.

I am summerizing this weekend as I think we are out of woods here in the East...hopefully.

3'senough, hopefully Mother Nature will be kind to you soo.

I think I'll be OK just sanitizing the actual water lines w/o doing the water tank itself since I just did the tank last wkd. Seems to me alot of wasted water (180glns).

My nice maroon truck is just covered in pollen. Warmth has its downfalls.......but no winterizing in sight.
