Why? Storage area

Why In the pass through storage on the Eagle 312BHOK. JAYCO would put such a weak flimsy wall. It’s a storage area. Heavier large totes or bins or thing stored here. The wall has literally No support. Ridiculous. Anyone else noticed this in other models

Unless you only have one or two items that fly around that luan panel will hold a lot more than you think. That is the same type compartment we had in our PINNACLE, and I had it packed full. Never was an issue. Look at everything that comes packaged in cardboard, refrigerators, TV's, stoves, furniture.

I have the same type panel in my 2011 Eagle. It is loaded with many things. I always added a piece of plywood on the back to support the screws. Never have had anything fall off or pull out.

Only thing I have experienced is having to remove all of it to get the panel out. Fortunately not to often. There is one small piece just behind the utility panel that I have thought of replacing with Plexiglas, just in case I need to see in there in case of a leak.

I could see the pump and the back of all the valves. That is an easy job to put on the VERY end of my todo list!

Almost four years with the flimsy panel and zero issues with it. It’s the more robust stuff that fails on my Jayco.

I added slides. Makes everything easy to access. Holds everything securely.

In our Pinnacle, that acess panel is framed in and has 2 flimsy sliding panels. I added 2 padded 1x2's to stop basement items from riding on them. 2 ebikes, a table and 2 chairs, grill, water, beer... if anything fell into that abyss of plumbing and wires I'd likely never see it again...
