You don't have a cover or tarp tightly...

You can always use this calculator if you think you have a wrong hitch size...

I've got a 26bhs (which are probably identical bunks) and I barely fit at 6'1" but lying diagonal probably would help.
We don't use the upper bunk for sleeping, but it is handy for storage of light...
