Only ones on the books are an extra-long Memorial Day weekend (Wednesday to Monday) with kids and grandkids, then the wife, dog and I are taking off the week of July 4. Both trips to our favorite lake about 60 miles from home.

Work got in the way of anything other than a couple of 3-day weekends last year. So hoping to work in a trip to Colorado this summer, likely after school resumes in August.

Other than that, there's going to be a lot of 3-day weekends. I've got five weeks PTO to burn this year!

First big trip of the year to Indiana Jayco factory first of May, then St. Louis and up the Great River Road National Scenic Byway to Minnesota. Rest of the year up in the air so far.

We were in Gettysburg October 2017 - awesome place!!

Travel from southern Georgia to central Kansas for wife's family reunion in mid-July, then up to a friend in South Dakota and onto to northeastern Washington state to visit another friend. Head to Bellingham, WA to meet stepdaughter coming down on the AK ferry to visit. Head home back through Utah with a stop in our old hometown of Flagstaff, then back east with a stop at the Arkansas Diamond Mine State Park to see if we can find another diamond (2 yrs ago 3/8 carat). And back to southern Georgia. Figure something near 6000 miles, estimating 30-45 days on the road.

Plus our current weekend trips in the region and a few trips down to area of Kennedy Space Center to view several launches.

Near Manhattan. Not exactly sure of the name of the town, but expect we will be using an Army Corp of Engineer campground. Need to make that reservation soon.

I grew up in Manhattan. Tuttle Creek Lake is just north and Milford Lake is about 20 miles west near Junction City. Both are great. Enjoy!

Turtle Lake is the site I found. I should be able to make reservations next week. They take a maximum of 6 months out.

Glad to hear it's a great site. Everything I've found about it indicates it is going to be a pleasurable week there.

Well now that we have a new more capable TV we've already setup quite a few trips this years.

Right now just weekenders, but we're doing Grayland State Park, Cape Dissapointment, and Deception pass here in Washington, A long weekend for our anniversary in Fort Langley B.C. (wifes first time out of the country) also have a trip planned to Crescent City to go to the Redwoods.

Looking at doing a long trip hitting Tahoe, Palm Springs, Grand Canyon, and some other stops in the early fall, but that's still in the early stages of planning and me deciding if I want to blow my entire wad of vacation time from work on one trip.

Might want to keep this in mind. Since June 2009, everyone from every country arriving in Canada by air, land and sea has needed a passport or equivalent travel document. (Some exceptions apply to children's passport requirements). Besides an up-to-date passport, visitors may instead have an equivalent travel document, such as a NEXUS Card or Enhanced driver's license.

Yup, we both have enhanced DL's and will also be carrying our Birth Cert's just in case.

We’re heading out to Washington DC for home school trip in April. Going to hit Philadelphia and hopefully a day trip to NYC.
