I do not see a UL approval on it... may be a Chinese mass produced item that will eventually turn to toast.. then again MAYBE not.

Any amp rating? I did not see one.

We have a couple of the lap 12VDC blankets in our POPUP setup. Great for sitting and watching HDTV in the evening...

Mine draw around 4 AMPS when kicked on by the thermostat... I have a couple of those BLUE SEA 12V sockets installed inside my POPUP setting areas.

I had 120VAC models Lap Blankets before these but they got lost along the way somewhere. I used these with my "DUTY"- Always ON 600WATT Power Inverter when camping off grid....

Great item to have around actually... Wife loves them...

Good questions. I was not that interested in buying electric blanket, as usually I am boondocking. But for $30 I decided to give a try. If it is crappy, I will return it.
