If you need to splice 2 strands together you can easily do with butt splices or solder and heat shrink. i will see if i can post a pick of the ends.

The white end attaches to the transformer and sensor. The 4 wires can be spliced to another set.

Count me in on the LED Awning Club!!! I just ordered the set you linked to! Anxious to try them out since we are planning a trip next week-end!

krackeer, Is that me your expecting the piece from? I have about 9/10 ft left over. If you need... send me a pm with your address and I will mail it to you. I was thinking of going down the arms... but now that they are up the entire length of the trailer, the are plenty bright enough. I'm loving this mod. They look so good and no connections are outside to deal with the elements.

Just ordered a 3rd set! A buddy of ours liked them so much he bought the 2nd set from us! If anyone has about 4 feet left over, I would take them off your hands. PM me and let me know the price. My buddy has a 20' awning where my daughter has a 15' and we have a 16' awning.

Be cautious about splicing an extra length to the 16 foot strip. Ranger431 may have burnt out his power supply attempting to do just that. In my research of these strips I believe I read somewhere that the power supply will only power up to the 16 feet and no more. I think I read it in one of the Amazon reviews. If you need more than the 16 feet, you might want to consider ordering 2 complete sets and having them meet in the middle. Attach a power supply to both sides. One member, I believe it is, jdorant, installed his and ran his off of the TT 12 volt system. His looks to be well longer than 16 feet and looks great. No need for the power supply. check it out https://www.jaycoowners.com/showthrea...=awning+lights

I found a set online that is 32 feet that I think I am going to order. Doesn't seem to have the DIY settings, but other than that it's pretty similar. I'd love to hardwire a 12v system right in, but don't feel confident enough with these lights to drill into my camper. Can you power more than 16 feet in a single run? Does it affect your outside light at all?

I thought I read where you could string 2 - 16ft strings together no problem.
They have connection designed for that as they come.
The amp draw shouldn't be much.
I would bet you could tie them into your out side light.

According to most of the specs for the strips, they require 2 Amps, per strip. My power supply states it is a 5 amp power supply. Thus I should be able to run more than the 16 feet that is in one strip. Haven't tried it yet, but I will. Hate to burn out the power supply, but I guess amazon will probably allow me to return it.

Seen them in an RV store today, they are asking $89, it looks exactly the same ones on Amazon

I'll let you know in a couple of days - I sent mine back today. Assuming they do, I will order another set, forget about it being 2 feet short and go with it as it is.

Found a place on line that seels a 30' section, but I'm not too thrilled about the 80 price tag - $50 extra bucks to avoid a 2 foot gap doesnt make too much sense to me

This thread inspired me to order some of these and instal them. Anyone else have issues with the connector to the lights and the IR receiver? My connection is lose and I worry about how it will stay connected.
