We put these lights on our former camper and loved them (clean looking and nothing extra to have to put-up/take-down or store); however, we found at the end of about 2 seasons some of the lights went out. Not a big problem because we found the full length of our awning to provide too much light. With some of them blowing out wasn't a bad thing but eventually you have to start over.

For the price, replacing every 2, is still a great deal. I ordered a package of those lil connectors as well. They seem to bend and break pretty easily.

I'm happy to see that this thread is still alive and kickin'! Our lights have survived very well over the winter. Ours are on the roller tube, and never had a problem with them coming off. The connector part stayed nice and dry all season in a ziploc bag and twisty-tied. We did have a few of the lights that didn't work by the end of last season, but you couldn't tell it standing away from the camper. I ordered another cheap set over the winter just to have an extra. We had TONS of compliments at all of the campgrounds - the kiddos love them. The only problem is that these are becoming sooo popular, I'm afraid that we won't be special anymore!

How does it look?

Thanks for the idea. We love the lights so far.

Wow...thanks for all the pics. Those lites are sweet. My 24FBS has the factory installed white only LED lites. I thought that was great until I saw your pics on this thread. Can't change what I have but how do I install a dimmer on my existing lites? What kind do I get and where...Amazon? Thanks for your help.

I have the same light strip (white) and I just received my dimmer from China today. Dw won't let me put it in just yet, just as well, it needs some modification before I can use it. I'll try to get some pics and links up when I get around to putting it in.

Haven't put mine up yet, still trying to figure out where to install them, leaning toward on the awning tube.

Careful, then you won't be able to use it with the awning closed. Mine is my only porch light, so I need to be able to use it with awning in...

For those that have a manual awning and installed the lights on the camper instead of the awning tube... how are you running the wires? I am pretty nervous about drilling holes in the side of the camper.

well we installed it on the camper and like everyone else here the 3m tape that came installed on the lights failed. Went out at night to take a look at them and the lights were just hanging there.

As for the wires, I'm just going to run an extension cord up to the power adapter and either velcro the power adapter to the awning arm and place it on top of the camper, haven't figure that out yet.

Well we took the X23B out this week-end, for the first time this year, and I'm sad to say the awning lights I bought a year ago no longer work. I replaced the remotes' battery, but no go. Even the DW was disappointed!

Oh well, just got on amazon and ordered another set!

glsimms - thats disappointing to hear. I am putting a set of lights on now. I plan on putting blue under the awning and white on the awning tube. I am still looking at where to tap into the camper but it will probably be back at the end near the gutter. That area goes right into where the bunk lighting is. For the white lights on the awning, I'm leaving a connector that can be powered once I set up and removed for when the awning is rolled up. Do you know what failed on your lights?

I think it was the end connectors on the light strip looked like it had some corrosion on them, even though these were supposed to be "waterproof"......

Broke in the trailer this weekend and installed the lights while we were at the campground (go to love the raining season in MI). Lights are awesome.

Looks good Mikey!!! I am thinking of doing the same thing... How did you run the power and signal wire?
