Crater of Diamonds RV Park, Murfreesboro, Arkansas

This is a great little campground. I would recommend staying here if you're traveling in this general area. However, make sure you book well in advance. It fills up fast!!
Crater of Diamonds is a great place for kids of all ages to come and dig for actual Diamonds. If you find any, they're yours to keep!! They usually find about two a day.

Wasn't it just last year that a teen found a rather large diamond there?

I know a lady found an 8 carat or so two years ago about two weeks after we left. She was there less than 30 minutes and found it walking along the plowed field. I think she had it cut and it's for sale. About a million $$ I think I heard.

2.63C was found two days before I went this year. Teenage girl walking back to the car, if I remember correctly.

We were just there for Memorial Day weekend! I concur...great campgrounds. Unfortunately we found no diamonds on our trip!

Two people did find diamonds of less than a carat when we were there. Also, Adrian Peterson (football player) and his family were there digging close by us.

Be sure to take your beer, Hot Springs is the closest place to purchase it. How do I know this fact you ask? About 10 years ago, we took the Gkids there to dig for diamonds, after a day of July digging, I had a huge thrust for a cold one. Not to be had in that county.
