Taking a break from the chaos.

I am suffering from Coronavirus information overload. I needed to take a break from it all. I started watching Youtube videos about RV’s and camping in general and I came across this video about the GMC Motorhomes built in the 1970’s and I found it very interesting.

May I suggest that you guys and gals post your favorite videos or photos about camping and RV life here so we can take our minds off the chaos for just a little while.

Be safe, be well and hopefully we’ll all get through this very soon.

I like your idea. I stuck at home working. Back is killing me from sitting on a hard dinning room chari!

I need to watch this video after my meeting. My dad loves these old GMC MHs.

I always think of that movie "Stripes" with Bill Murray when I see one of those old GMCs. I think they look really cool.

Boy is this a refreshing break from the same old subject we’ve been putting up with for weeks. Bet this one won’t have to be deleted!

Thanks for that video on the GMC, it’s my first smile in some time.

I saw one of those old GMC Mh’s at a fair and fell in love with them. There is one in my neighborhood. We were in Florida years back and a club was there with half the Cg full of those MH’s.

Too much info overload on the tube. But instead of dreaming of RV ing which isn't practical now lets think of what we can do.

Fishing is Free! Until April 30 we don't need a license! Now if I could only cadge some gear and get the ice to melt so we can put the dock back in and get the boat in the water.

We are retired so aside from eating out in a restaurant we have to grab and go and drive half an hour to a warm house to eat. Sushi is a challenge to eat in the car. It is still iffy cold weather out in the 30s and 40s.

Hiking and biking are always available and social distancing is kind of normal; not many folks seen day to day.

Photography.. The sunsets have been awesome. Sunrises too. Soon it will be fiddlehead season.

I'm now a "work at home" shut-in, so I'm using the extra half hour, which I used to spend in commuting, to walk.
At 8am, it's not too hot ( this is Florida), and nobody is around, so I can do a mile or so and get back in time to start a days teleworking, feeling a lot better than I would if I'd just got out of bed.

I remember the GMC MHs when I was a kid. I was never inside, but thought they looked cool on the outside.

Were they all GMC or did any carry a Chevrolet badge?

If it's Yard Art that you want...

Sadly, now gone, to make way for a bigger RV dealership lot, but this always used to amuse me, when I travelled I-4. We actually bought our current TT, right next door.

"Airstream Ranch", after the famous "Cadillac Ranch"
