BLAH...BLAH...BLAH! I've heard this rhetoric before. It stiffles competition plain and simple. If Jayco wants to come out with a "kick-butt" product, they will have to run it up the ladder to see if they are stepping on one of the other subsidiaries toes.

they have been extremely helpful in every circumstance I have

jayco...
hopefully this part of the Thor buy statement will hold true -
Thor will operate Jayco as an independent company as it does with its other subsidiaries, the release explained, adding that it will be “business as usual” at Jayco as their existing, experienced management team will continue to manage their operations and compete effectively in the RV market, just as they and their family have done for the past 48 years.

Was thinking of buying a '17 Seneca and giving my '14 to the kids. May have to wait a while, or maybe go with a Renegade. I don't trust publicly traded companies.

Jayco has sold to Thor
Jayco has sold to Thor for $576 million. Bontrager is going to continue to run Jayco as a subsidiary .
Saw on another site. No source other than that.

New 321 and can't get the brakes to lock at 15-20 mph with the manual slide. I have it set to 14 and on boost 3 I can barely feel any brakes out of my unit and it should be yanking your teeth out set there at low speeds. It has on my older Jayco's and other brand units but not my new one. I thought my older brake controller was bad so I purchased the new P3 and I have nothing different than my older one. Grrrrr

They all buy their components from the same companies. Besides last time I checked all the chassis came from publicly traded companies.

I dont agree!! 321 is a heavy unit. In my experience, no heavy trailer is going to slide a wheel or stop dramatically. Your TV should be doing most of the work with an assist from the trailer. Lighter trailers tend to have the ability to lock a wheel which in reality is a recipe for disaster on wet pavement. If your trailer can stop your rig from 20 mph in a couple 100 yards is really all that you should expect.

Quality issues?
Sorry but I see no correlation with the buyout of Jayco by Thor and your statement.

This has nothing to do with your brake problem. Continue to persue it with your dealer.

I had bought Jayco for a few reasons, one being they remained family owned. I like mom and pop businesses that refuse to get bought out. In my opinion they just put a nail in the coffin and sealed the deal on what I'll own next. Self build or custom manf. Just as well to own anything now if you want a mass produced Rv. Not many independents left, if any. All about the money, and I'm all about the quality.

Yep, Jayco has been a family owned company for a very long time.
The Jayco Companies include,
Jayco Towable's and Motor Homes
StarCraft Towable's
Highland Ridge (Open Range) Towable's
Entegra Motor Coach
Now Thor has,
Jayco
Airstream
Crossroads
Keystone
Heartland
DRV
Dutchmen
and the list goes on !!!
