Just an update

I contacted Jayco and they said that the dark gas at the first pour isn't normal behavior. Take it to a Jayco certified dealer to have it checked.

We have an appointment to take our trailer in mid-Dec to have a laundry list of issues corrected.

This is now on that list.

I will report back with outcome.

Has anyone checked the fuel supply to the generator to see if it is skunky like the fuel station? The reason I ask is, I went to exercise my gen and it wouldn't start. It would run for a few seconds and quit. It acted like it was starving for fuel. I have 3/4 tank of stabilized fuel. The generator gives a code to have it serviced. I am thinking of pulling the fuel filter and checking it and also pumping out some fuel to see what it looks like.

Ethanol will dissolve the paint/coating inside a metal tank. Had the same issues years ago with my Porsche. Engine stalled, and after trying to get a restart, pulled the fuel filter. What came out of it looked like black paint. Replaced it with new from dealer who said "enjoy the world of ethanol". Most new vehicles have poly tanks to prevent this. Guess not everyone is on the same sheet of paper.
