What is the difference between the HW30C and the EMS-HW30C surge protectors? I want to order mine tonight from amazon but can't really find out what the difference is other than about $150. Sorry,..It might be a stupid question but I have no idea.
Thanks!

Its been a while since I have done anything to the 5er, so over the last couple of days, I added some hinges to the panel below the fridge, so I have easier access and created some storage for cleaning supplies.
I also added power to the outside kitchen area. I know its not your typical hard wired setup, but it is impossible (for me anyway) to get power from the outlet behind the fridge to the outside kitchen, so my dad and I did some McGyvering to my setup.
I added a double gang box, using an old heavy duty extension cord, and a replacement male end to give me power outside.
I posted a question about adding support to the wall in the basement, and got some feedback, so I did this as well.
I was going to hinge the trap door, but decided velcro works perfect. Also, Force, my water pump was held down with 2 screws, barely, so I had to use 4 new screws, and fasten it down like it should have been.
Added support to under master bed.

That, sir, is absolutely fantastic!! I shall be copying that idea, post haste!
Did you put anything over the cord under the kitchen to prevent rub through, like a flex conduit or anything?

Thank you. I actually had to use a little wire clip under the 2 burner part, just to hold the wire from catching as I open and close. I used the same clips to hold the cord inside the cabinet behind fridge. The ones in the picture didnt hold as they were old, and the sticky wasnt that good.

Now that your idea has me inspired, I have a question....
Do you think it would be feasible to cut in a box at the bottom of that wall, fish a wire from the outlet down to that hole, then go lateral into the sink area in order to avoid the exposed cord? I'd put in a shallow box and a solid cover.

There is a stud in the corner, and then there is actually 3 walls you need to get through in the side wall. So if you want to take the whole cabinet apart, which I started to, and then decided against it, you can try that route.

Relocated the spare tire. Just need to get a cover for it, and a new USA Map.

Yesterday, I added an 8" round convex mirror to a bracket my dad had, which I mounted on the Pin Box, so I can see my hitch in the bed when hooking up.

How do you like that level? I almost bought the same one the other day but talked myself out of it.
EDIT: Nice job on these recent mods! I have adding a power outlet to the kitchen area on my to do list for sure.

I dont think its possible to get perfectly level at any site, but it does get me close enough that when I fill the sink a little, the water is pretty good. I dont go too crazy, but I do know if I am off too much, and it rains, the bathroom slide leaks, because the tray under the slide, fills up and finds its way in. It only happened once last Columbus day we have torrential rains at Stateline CG at the Ct./RI state line.
I have something else I will post later, that I did today.

Here is another addition. The outside kitchen lacks lighting, so I added an LED light strip with remote control to the area.

That outside kitchen lighting is a fantastic solution. How is it powered though? Did you hard wire it to 12V DC, and if so where did you end up splicing it into?

Yeah you've got to be able to find your beer in the dark!
Seriously though very nicely done. Very even light patterns. How many and what size are the light strips?
I'm planning on a similar mod for the hall closet and the pantry in mine.

I bought this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used the existing plug in the back, and just used a new 6 outlet power strip, which I mounted to the inside left side, and plugged my fridge in as well as the power cord for the lights. It will only work on shore power I would guess. The 3M tape that is on the lights didnt stick real good, so I used some clear packing tape every 12" or so, just to hold it on.

This is where I put the power strip. Also, I will be able to see my beer at night.
