12 volts to SaniCon

I have the SaniCon system on my North Point and I need to find out where the 12 Volts is supplied from. I called Jayco and they couldn’t help me. I’m hoping someone in this forum knows.

Look at your breaker panel and check for a blown fuse. My camper has each fuse labeled.

The SaniCon system works fine. I want to install a wireless relay to turn it on and off remotely. I have decided to wire the relay in series with the on and off switch. Thanks for the reply.

series will not work unless the manual switch is always on. Wire it in parallel the switch and they both will work.

Agreed, however when I use the SaniCon system in the remote mode I want the switch on. The switch will be used as a fail safe in case the wireless relay gets stuck closed.

First, I would probably contact Jayco and ask for the 12V wiring diagram.

But someone recently posted about a disconnect switch issue. In the image, showed a label that the Sanicom relay was in the circuit that bypassed the disconnect switch. So I recommend go snooping around your disconnect switch, for that label and the terminal strip. I bet you might find it up there.

John, why would you want to operate it remotely? You need to open a dump valve first. Are your dump valves remotely controlled? Not being sarcastic, just don't understand the advantage.

We camp almost exclusively without sewer. i use the Sani Con system to pump the tanks into a barker tank on the back of my truck. I have a 6 inch clear extension on top of the Barker tank which allows me to see when the tank is full. there are many times When I am unable to see the clear extension and run the risk of over filling the tank(that would be a mess). That's the reason for the wireless relay.

Quite a system! I can definitely see why you would want a remote!

This may not be the same but on our Seneca with the Sanicon, the power runs through a relay. The relay on ours is located under the bed behind the converter area. If yours runs through a relay, you could just hook up your remote to trigger the existing relay.
