Bunkbed canvas plastic crap

Got tired of pieces of broke platic puedes falling out of the bunk bed canvas. After a visit to home depot and 18 dollars, problem solved. Used aluminum strips and several screws. Granted when replacing the canvas the electric drill will get a workout.

Glad you got it's resolved. What year is your HTT? your vertical section is secured different than my 2012. I have a long steel plate that holds my canvas in place. I just wish they had used the same thing for the top horizontal section and then something? More reliable in the curve.

I did add a few more screws and washers in the corners after the last campout.

just make sure that all sharp edges are gone. You would hate to have a tear in the "canvas" because of the sharp edges on the sheet aluminum. Love the idea though. Will need to do that after our warranty is up.

(EDIT)
after looking at the second picture, please go and get the trim aligned, that could be a tear in a windy conditon where you have two strips next to one another. Either that or grind or sand the section that doesn't match up with the other section.

I hope you used stainless screws so they don't rust and stain the canvas
