Rotted entry doorway floor

Has anyone had/seen this problem before. Entry way of my 06 23b. Step was starting to really sag. Pulled it apart and the board is totally rotted. I did pick this camper up for free and have been doing numerous repairs to it. This is one of the last things. Going to try and fashion up something that will cover the area and hold a new step. Any ideas?? All it is is 2 2x4s and somehow they attached it to the wooden framing…

My brother and I replaced the floor behind the door. It was rotted clear through under the vinyl flooring. We ended up using treated lumber to rebuild the floor and then used vinyl plank to do the whole camper which made it look much better.

We both looked it over and the water must have gotten past the door sill and penetrated. No other part of the flooring was soft or bad.

Yup. Either leaking door seal or if the door is behind the wheels there could be intrusion from a crack in the plastic wheel well liner.
