Help! No heat!
We are camping in the midwest and woke up this morning to no heat (it's kind of chilly!). The furnace will not work, but we found out we have no air, and no fan. All breakers in the main panel under the frig are fine, and the fuse in the thermostat is fine. Any suggestions? We have a 24 FBS and my husband is trying to find the power supply for the thermostat. We are baffled at what the problem could be!

Sounds like a critter may be involved.

There is also a fuse in the fuse panel for the furnace. Also there may be a reset on the back of the furnace depending on which one it is.
Do your 12v lights work?

Thanks. Fuse for furnace is ok. Furnace is under couch in wooden box. Very difficult to get to. Would have to take couch apart and remove box to get access. May have to do that...but any other suggestions first?

What do the furnace and the a/c have in common? Since neither is working I would assume the problem is something they share.
Take a good hard look at the thermostat to start with since it controls both of them.
You said the fuse in the thermostat was fine, I’d swap it out anyway. I’ve been stymied by “good” fuses in the past.

If all else fails try a total hard reset. Unplug from shore power and turn off the battery’s for a few minutes. Then turn back on.

It is possible that your thermostat crapped out. It happens.

Thanks for the help. My husband removed and checked the fuse with a o meter and it's good. There is no power going to the fuse in the thermostat.

Does anyone know where the 12 volt power supply is located for the thermostat on a 24 FBS?

If you’re lucky you have a wiring schematic for your rig. If not, search online for it.

Pull the thermostat and check for a loose wire in the wall that has been known to happen too. The power supply is your converter and battery, same as for all 12v systems.

We have the wiring diagram and the schematic but it does not show it's exact location...just that it exists. We are trying to figure out where it is at. Maybe it's at the furnace as Grumpy said. Just hoping we could find an easier solution since that would involve taking off the couch and the whole wooden box over the furnace.

If your furnace has a large access panel outside, pull that first there is a reset out there. I don't know which furnace you have so the reset may be inside or outside.

Our furnace does not have an outside access...just an exhaust. I think we may have to pull the couch and the wooden box to get to the reset switch....

Did you check 12v fuses at converter? Can you check if all of them have 12V on both sides?

Yes... we double checked them. They are fine but thanks for the suggestion.
