grayhawk 29 mv

Went to a Jayco dealer for a tour of 29MV and really liked the MH. Have a few questions about it in hopes that someone who owns one could respond.
Are all six tires on the same rim and same size?
How many electrical (120V) outlets are there and where are they located?
Does it come with spare tire and where is it mounted?
How well does the J Ride perform. How stable when being passed by semi?
Not having owned a MH before what is the process for loading propane?
Has the Girard water heater been replaced in the 2018?
What other updates have been made on the 2018?
Can the tv in front bunk area be adjusted to it faces the sofa?
Do you find outside storage ample for lawn chairs, small grills normal stuff. We carry what we need no more?
What is your best feature of this motor home and what is your worst feature?Any help will be greatly appleciated.

Yes

How many electrical (120V) outlets are there and where are they located?

3 in the bedroom, one above galley counter, one by the entrance door, one at the end of the overhead bunk (hooked to inverter also), one behind the dinette.

Does it come with spare tire and where is it mounted?

No spare tire. I bought one separately.

How well does the J Ride perform. How stable when being passed by semi?

Best driving MH I've had. J Ride works. Very little push/pull by trucks.

Not having owned a MH before what is the process for loading propane?

Tank is located passenger side behind the entry door. Pull into any facility that sells propane and park with that side to the tank.

Has the Girard water heater been replaced in the 2018?

Don't know.

What other updates have been made on the 2018?

Don't know.

Can the tv in front bunk area be adjusted to it faces the sofa?

Yes

Do you find outside storage ample for lawn chairs, small grills normal stuff.

Plenty of room for all of our stuff. We still have a lot of spare room after using it for 2 years.

What is your best feature of this motor home and what is your worst feature?

Best feature is the floor plan with ample counter space and the pullout additional counter space. Worst feature is the floor plan with the dinette and sofa on the same side of the rig. Also don't like the step up on the rear side of the bed. Nice trip hazard for those late night head calls.

Any help will be greatly appleciated.
See red answers above.

Heard that Jayco will be upgrading to a Truma brand on-demand hot water system. Found this video of 2018 at a dealer. Other changes made from 2017s you will note.

Word is that they are getting rid of Tank-less water heater. Not clear if 6 gal or....?
Question Rog4KNeer...Will you be setting up for a "TOAD"? Big change from TT to MRV. I had a Airstream and Dodge Diesel. Big change in just jumping in truck and taking off.
Don't get me wrong, I do like my Grayhawk29MV and tow my Frontier P/U.

Anyway that's my 2 cents

I really like the look of that interior. Modern without looking like someone ripped off the IKEA catalog.

I just purchased the 2018 29 MV and love it. I am a newby as well. I have never owned a MH before. I am learning every trip. We have used a total of 12 days and so far no major issues. As mentioned in another response, there is no spare. I don't intend to purchase one. Get a good roadside/tire insurance policy. Trying to get those lugs off, or worse changing the inside dually will be difficult.
The interior is awesome and very functional. We have the larger fridge and it's great. There is plenty of storage inside and out. The 2018 has a 6 gal tank Attwood water heater that has a fast recovery feature and it works well. Plenty of hot water for multiple showers. I have found some little qwirks in the unit that are annoying at first, but once you figure them out they're no problem. The coach rides great, but i do get some sway from semi's. I will probably add a steering stabilizer and beefier front sway bar. We are well pleased with our choice. Good luck on your decision.

"As mentioned in another response, there is no spare. I don't intend to purchase one."

That was my thinking, until 3 weeks ago when I got a flat in the middle of Kansas on US 50 on a Sunday night. Good luck getting repairs. Most services will send someone out to change out the tire using your good spare. If you don't have a spare, they will most likely want to tow the RV somewhere. A major pain to say the least. Needless to say, I now carry a fully inflated spare tire.

You are right about getting it fixed in out of the way places at odd times. Where do you keep the spare tire? Not much room in my bays for full sized tire.

I didn't want to risk not having a spare tire either. I may or may not be able to change it but at least I have the tire of my choice on hand and purchased at a reasonable price.

I bought this to mount it on but got it used off of e-bay.

One reason I bought a 31DS. Full pass thru rear storage. Plenty of room for tire. I now carry 20 ton bottle jack and electric impact wrench. If I have to I can change out tire myself.

I would never travel without a spare. I manage a large coach bus company. I never have trouble getting road service out to swap a tire. Can't imagine the heartache if I called and stated BTW I have no spare...

I'm not discouraging carrying a spare - but asking. How much does a spare weigh? In the large coaches, there's precious little CCC left over. A spare could take 1/3rd or more of mine...

It's mounted on a rim. I store it in the rear compartment of my 31DS.

Thanks. We will need ALL of the storage in the 29MV, so I guess the bumper is our only option.
