Hyd pump bracket

I made this bracket from a few pcs of scrap steel. On my 21 entegra 27u, there were 2 existing holes in the frame I bolted the bracket to using grade 8 bolts.
Cheers!

I just called about my Rig as I received no notice. Sounds like they sending the parts directly to me and if its not a big deal I'll just install myself

I’m curious — did Jayco say they were sending the parts to you now — or did they say they would send them when the parts are available. Our service manager has called about every other week since December, and Jayco has been noncommittal as to when the (new) parts would be sent.

Just picked up my Esteem 29V from dealer with recall all done. Did not look underneath to see what was done. Poring rain and snow here in the PNW (lol)so will look maybe this weekend.

Jayco Hydraulic Pump Recall 20V-780

The dealer installed the pump recall on my 2020 Greyhawk 26Y this past week.
This is after Jayco told me that my unit was not on the recall list and I installed a fix.

Attached are some pictures.
I removed my fix... so that I would not have warranty issues.

Looks like they cut off the previous mount at the bottom of the frame and installed a bracket that straddles the frame.

The recall fix seems robust even though it is still cantilevered. Probably not as good as mine but this one looks acceptable and is under warranty.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I've got an appointment to have mine fixed next week. How long did it take them to remove the old and install the new?

It was there a few days don't know how long they actually worked on the unit.
They did not enter any service time on the job order.

I would imagine it would take less than 2 hrs of install time.

I had the recall completed and it appears to be a solid mounting setup. However, on my first trip out after the repair the system would not work. I turned it on before leaving but did not lower the jacks. While setting up at camp, I turned the system on and pushed auto level. The control panel blinked and then lost power.

I check the fuse and looked at the ground wire as a lack of grounding had been a problem before. Everything looked fine. The dealer had ran the ground wire to the new bracket and used one of the pump mounting bolts to ground the unit.

Using a test light I found that mounting the grounding lug to the pump bracket did not ground the unit. The new mount is powdered coated and was not grounding sufficiently. Moved the grounding lug to the frame and everything works perfectly.

I would suggest testing the system completely before leaving the dealer.

With the new mount being 'clamped' around the frame, with the edges of the bracket metal against the frame, I am wondering if it will become loose over time....
Something to watch for.

Good question.
I guess it depends on how much clamping force the bracket provides. I don't know since I did not install it .
I guess I should check to see if it moves fore and aft on the frame

I will add that to my checklist .

We are sitting at the dealership right now. I will definitely check the system before we leave.

Apparently, Jayco is not the only one that doesn't test their work

I dropped my 2017 31FS off for this recall and it sat at camping world for almost four weeks. I had to go get it without the repair done because we had a trip already planned. Still no call that the parts are in. I can’t believe Jayco doesn’t have these part available when they know how many units they produced during that timeframe.

We received the recall for our 2018 Greyhawk 26Y the same day we arrived in AZ from VA, December 4, 2020. First - find a Jayco Authorized Dealership, which we did at National Indoor RV Centers. Went and spoke with service manager, who ordered the part. Part arrived the first week of January, but it was the bracket later determined to be insufficient by Jayco. Reordered the new part — emailed Jayco parts inquiry for assistance with getting the correct bracket — gave contact information to service manager and part arrived in 7 days. We went yesterday for the recall work to be done - up on lift and installation was finished in 2 hours. Of course, as you all know — owning an RV is an adventure. When pulling the Greyhawk into the service bay, the refrigerator door fell off — food all over the floor — bottom hinge broke into two pieces. From the stress fractures, it’s a miracle the door had not fallen off a long time ago. Apparently, this occurs frequently based upon the number of posts I’ve received under another topic thread. The service manager immediately shared with me what happened, found a replacement door in California, and had it overnighted to us in AZ. Rather than driving back to where we are staying in New River, the service manager set us up in their RV hookup “park,” where we had an opportunity to meet some very nice RVers who were having work completed on their coaches. The dealership even has a food truck that comes mid-morning each day. The new door arrived by 10:00 AM this morning. The service tech installed the wood panel on the new door, and the new door on the refrigerator. It’s been quite a journey getting the recall completed — but thanks to the staff at National Indoor RV Center in Phoenix we are good to start our trip back to VA safely later this month.

Hi Everyone, does anyone know if Jayco will send the owner the necessary parts to complete the recall themselves? Thanks

I asked repeatedly, and they would not.

Since it is a recall they are not allowed, due to liability.
