Thanks everyone I’ll check my breaker box right now. 8thdwarf, was the breaker loose where it attaches to the panel rails?

My breaker for the AC appeared to be loose in the box. I really don’t know what the fix will be other than to change out the box. A new box of the same kind may not solve the problem. May have to go with a different manufacturer. This one is a Siemens box in my coach.

yup, loose breaker where it attached to the buss bar.... The breaker that burned, 30A for the A/C, must have gotten loose. By the time i found the problem the breaker was REALLY loose, the plastic housing for the breakers was melted and the buss bar burned. The breaker next to the burned one was loose as well and had slight damage to the buss bar. I don't know why they use push on breakers instead of bolt on type. the manuf. cost can't be that much more and the safety factor would be much higher. the coach had 9k on it.... 2021 bought the coach 1st part of April. issue happened late June

The breakers on my Jayco Redhawk SE were/are Siemens but the box (power control center) is Progressive Dynamics. plastic, very cheaply made.

I tightened every lug in the breaker panel, and the neutral and ground lugs on the transfer switch, (the other Leeds are Wago connectors).

I also removed the breaker and checked the rail connections, all were just the way I wear my lederhosen , “good-n-tight”! Sorry I couldn’t “resist” ooops, I did it again!

Anyway, we just drove another 3 hours, GA-Fl, and no trip. Right now the only thing different I’ve been doing is leaving the HW heater break off. I’m still not satisfied until it proves itself a little more!

Did they change the breaker box with a different brand? If so to what brand?
