Mounting outside TV

What have others done to mount a TV Bracket to outside on a starcraft 2017 21fbs. I understand that studs will be R9 aluminum. Am I correct on thickness being 1 1/4 in or 1 1/2in?.

Does your rig come with a KeyBloc mount like this one on the outside already? Mine did and there was a matching one in the bedroom with a TV bracket already attached. Connect the TV to the bracket and you can then move it from indoors to outdoors without a separate bracket.

X2 on the Kebloc - Very easy to install if its not there and a very vesitile mounting system.

Scott,
No, I don't have any bracket on outside. I have purchase a separate bracket and free tv for outside. Bracket is a slide on/off type, where I can remove tv from bracket easily. TT bracket has 2 spots to drill and secure w screws. That's where I'm wondering how thick my R9 stud is and tapping in screw into a Molly will be secure enough. Thx

Welcome!

You can email Jayco at service@jayco.com and they may be able to tell you the wall thickness. I recommend asking them for all schematics for your trailer.

Also you can open the entry door and measure the wall thickness there. This will give you an idea on the wall stud size.

Jerry,
Thx. Yes, studs are either 1 1/4 or 1 1/2. I've emailed Jayco, curious to see if I get assistance from them
✌️

I used a small piece of dimensional lumber as a backer when I mounted mine. The location landed under my kitchen sink so it was out of sight. Made for a very sturdy install as it allowed me to use longer lag screws.

Thx Marcm,
If I mount there, my door when opened, will block the TV. I need to go further front on my unit

Good deal. It may take them a little time to reply depending on their work load. They emailed me full PDF schematics on electrical (showing every single switch, breaker and wire), water (showing all pipes, valves, drains and fittings including holding tanks), gas and framing. Really handy stuff.
