Gallant Tires

Has anyone heard of, used, or had any experience with Gallant tires? We were leaving for our camping trip and while airing up the spare on the fiver, I noticed it was coming apart, the tread separating. The only tire I could get locally, and be sure to have for the return home was either a Gallant or Towmaster. Figured I'd take a chance on the Gallant after all I've heard about the Towmaster.

are they Chinese? If so, now you know why they are split

If you can get them in your size go with the Goodyear Endurance tires, American quality and warranty!

The spare that split was a Goodyear Marathon. Mostly my fault for not keeping a cover on it. Local Goodyear dealer would have to order the Endurance and could not give me a date when it would be in. Got to pull out of the campsite Friday morning, just wanted a spare to get home on. The four tires on the ground are Goodyear Marathons, at least 4 yrs old. Tire replacement is in the near future. Just wondered if anyone had any info on the Gallant tires. Tire was about $104 out the door and a load range E instead of the load range D now on the trailer.

Gallant ST tires are from the Husky Tire Co. Look under tire brands-ST tires. It seems they are made in China. All About Husky Tire

Thanks for the info, this was what i was looking for. Don't like going with an unknown tire, but figured it would be ok for the spare. Will probably go with the Endurance for the four running tires.

Thanks for all the info. Till I hear more,(good or bad) about the Gallant, I think I'll keep it regulated to the spare position

Just for more info, my unloaded vehicle weight is 7410 lbs and GVW is 9,900 lbs. The Gallant tire is also a load range E.
