I’ve had my G614’s a touch over 6 years and plan to replace them in the next year or so. We purchased the 5th new and it came with the infamous TowMax which barely lasted a year. 2 of them blew in a 70 mile stretch and a third was ready to join his brothers. They were just shy of the 3 year mark since birth so I guess they were due. The 614’s have logged just shy of 30k miles and have been flawless, but were pricy.
Taking a look at Discount Tire
G614 235/85 = $1516/4
Endurance 235/80 $725/4
Endurance 255/85 = $920/4 (back ordered)
I'm looking at replacing my S637's this fall. They were installed in fall of 2015. After 5 years of winter travel (missed last winter due to border) and summers sitting they have some very small cracks in the tread grooves. I was looking at switching to the GY Endurance 235/80's. They still leave me without about 500# of headroom load per tire and aren't made of concrete like the 637's. This is on a '14 361REQS.

Do it, you'll be very pleased with the Endurance.

I've been liking mine on the 375bhfs installed in 2018. Plus the rim's are only rated at 80 psi unless you change them. I have to think a softer ride has to be better on the unit than something made like concrete, lol!

What are you seeing for wear on the Beast tires? I have roughly 12,000 miles on our NP, the tires are wearing evenly and tread is almost gone. We're planning to replace them before our next trip and curious if 12 - 15,000 miles is the life expectancy for this tire?

About the same mileage here, same age group/NP, with no real noticeable tread wear/damage yet....
but will keep a close eye on them....will have three winter months in one place that we can have them changed if need be before heading out in the Spring again...

Brand new having only 8/32 of tread will necessitate changing them more frequently than a tire with 12/32. I just changed mine and they were down between 2 & 3/32. Bear in mind, depending on where you dealer is located, you can have a couple of thousand miles on your tires when you take delivery. My dealer is a little over 2,000 miles from the Jayco factory. I put 16,500 miles on my coach added to the 2,000 miles in delivery so I got 18,500 miles out of mine. Again, not bad for a tire with only 8/32 of tread when new. Another thing to factor into is the type of roads you frequently travel. Concrete and chip seal will tend to wear a tire more quickly than asphalt.

I am in process of changing my worn out Endurances now. They are 5 years old and have just over 20k on them.

In my earlier post I described my attempt to replace my GY Endurance tires and that I decided to wait until spring. Well, heading south for the winter, three days ago had a blow out on the right front tire. (Fortunately, no damage to the trailer). Tires were mfg'd in 2017 and had between 20 and 25k miles on them. Unfortunately there were no Endurance 255-85R16s anywhere to be found in the area of Alabama where I had the blow-out. Spent better part of the morning after the flat on the phone with tire and rv dealers looking for an Endurance tire. Ended up putting an off brand 235-85R16 tire on the rim as a spare until I can replace all 5 tires later. Did learn from Goodyear that they plan on putting the Endurance back into production after the first of the year. Also learned that Hankook makes the same size trailer tire with the same ratings. Anyone have any experience with Hankook tires?

Wondering what was your cold tire pressure when you left? Also, we had very bad luck with Hankooks (on a car). Dealer replaced them once, then second time the tread shredded, they put Michelins on. No more problems.

We'll stick with (made in U.S.) Endurance. I wish they had a little more tread, though.

I can only speak for 14 inch tires but I couldn't find the Goodyears so I went with Carlisle Radial Trail HD. The ride? I can tell no difference between the two. They are wearing well but with just a few thousand on them I can't answer that question yet. The tread still looks new. Bonus, much cheaper.

Before the Endurance was introduced, I ran a set of Hankook RA-08s and got excellant service from them, they were a 8 ply steel belted trailer rated tire, more commonly used in europe on their small delivery vehicles

I got the Goodyear G614 over 35 k and they look like new. Hardly any wear and sidewalls show no sign of aging. First tire I ever had that says re- grove-able. They have a 3615 production date.

As a follow-up to my earlier post, I had made up my mind to replace my Goodyear's with Sailun. The Sailun 235/85/16 spec is to mount on a 6.5" to 7.5" rim width. I assumed my 255/85-16 were on rims in that range but decided best to check. To my surprise, my rim width is 8". Not sure if this was normal for these tires although worth checking for those considering a change in tire size.

What were the truck scale readings on your fully loaded trailer?

Not surprising to see a different wheel width listing for a tire that is different by about 1" in width.

Tireman. The total weight on my trailer is about 17,400. The weight on the wheels was about 13,400. Far below the total weight rating for the four tires.

We’ve put a touch over 25k miles on the G614’s and I run them at 110psi. I checked my trip spreadsheet and noted they were mounted in Apr ‘15. I don’t recall the date codes on them tho. My original rims were 80psi max and I upgraded them shortly after getting the 614’s.
