Not necessarily an RV mattress, but it doesn't require a box spring. My buddy at work just purchased a latex mattress. His side is firm and his wife's side is soft. He loves it. I'm going to his house next weekend for a party and I told him I wanted to lay on it.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I’m fairly certain there’s no physical difference between the 300:1 vs. the 500:1
In fact, my service guy at the dealer claims I already have 500:1 on the kitchen slide when I told him I wanted to upgrade. After I told him I doubted his claim, he stated they look they same but the guts (gears) are different

Interesting that you brought this up. I’ve always thought I had 300:1 motors.
I go every weekend to check my trailer while the dealer waits for the new kitchen Schwintek slide, and they have the old motor out laying on the steps. It’s a 500:1.
I’m one of the first NorthPoints built.

What was wrong with your slide that it needed to be replaced. Did you mean the entire slide! We have issues with the kitchen slide on are 16 Eagle 321 RSTS. There are roller indentation marks on the bottom of the slide.Dealer claims they see that on the larger campers all the time.Yet when I looked at the new campers on the lot none of them had those wear marks. Thanks

For me, Not the entire slide. Within the 1st year of ownership both motors in the kitchen slide and 1 motor in the bunk room slide went out and had to be replaced.

I have those marks on the bottom too. The more it is used the more they can be seen.
The slide is heavy.
This is only my opinion, but I think my Schwintek is broken because the floor supports bent causing stress to the slide system.
I would have to guess this is why the Schwintek has been redesigned to having the loose rails on the side walls. Seems it needs some play to last longer than a year after trailer parts settle and move from traveling.
My bedroom slide works great, but it weighs nothing compared to the kitchen slide.

How does every bodies hot water work in their 377. Our last camper was Montana w/10 gal and seem to have no problem. DW and I could take back to back showers with no problem. DW always run out in this one even if i've not taken one. Just wondering if this is normal? Maybe my last camper had 12 gal. can't remember.

There’s typically 4 of us and sometimes the in-laws and we haven’t had a problem taking showers with hot water. Do what Tom says for quicker recovery time.

Not so much that the Schwintek is redesigned as that they now use the Lippert Slimrack on the kitchen slide.
Schwintek still used on bunk and bed slides.

They are welded to the frame under the rollers of the slideout.
I think there should be one under each roller, but I’m not the engineer that failed his first attempt at designing the first generation of supports that have been redesigned 2 more times.
Here’s the thread about them....this was before any damages to the slide system appeared. I am totally convinced it is was the problem.

Me thinks so also. I meant 800 miles. I can average 10 mpg pulling the 5er. 80 gal x 10 mpg = 800 miles. Thanks all for keeping me honest.

My slimrack kitchen slide liked over an inch closing all the way on one end when purchased new. Carried it back to dealer and they kept it three weeks. They said they were having hard time getting it to close all the way. After I got it back it was closing all the way but was no longer smooth. It pops and jerks going in and out. It comes all the way in on one side then you haft to let off the button and push again and it will finish closing. When I close slide before leaving the other day I noticed hey had left three of six screws out on ea end. Went by dealer on way out and they installed the screws. Now slide won't close all the way again.

Klassic thanks read all the posts! Maybe the reason my frame supports are not bent more.Maybe only 2500 miles on camper, never open kitchen slide when not level. Those idiots at the dealer ship are the ones I know don't level first. Thanks Again for the info.

Ok, great.
But I need you to conduct a scientific based experiement.
So you’ll need to first drink copious amounts of adult beverages, since that’s how I typically use the beds in my campers.
