Great, I kinda thought about using same plug removal technique cause all mine are recessed. The wall panel seems less than 1/8” thickness and with no studs in vicinity, abundant screws is the answer. How many did you use and what size? Did you try a stud finder to see if it finds any? I took a picture of the outside of. Dinette slide when it dewed up one morning at an rv park. Seems like one wanted to form a dry area but faded to wet. Does a stud finder work in these RV’s?

I think I ended up using 12 screws to attach the plywood to the wall. I did try using a stud finder and there was nothing under the center of the window. The screws were 1-1/2” long. I used 6 screws to attach the bracket to the plywood. Those were 2” long.

Tell us how well you like it and how the install goes. I’ve been considering getting that but we actually don’t leave our door open that often.

For 34 bucks. You can’t go wrong.
When I’m parked in the driveway and messing around, the slightest breeze swings the door close.
When I’m at a site, I have a table beside the door that the door swings overtop of, and it’s a pain to reach over the table to unclip
Even if it works half the time I’ll still be pleased for that price

Klassic,
My buddy had that friction hinge on his Jayco TT, from the factory. He hated it. Had to slam door closed to get it to latch. U could not just pull his door closed the last foot was a forceful pull. We just pull ours closed lightly on a regular door.

That’s a nice upgrade mod. I know we’ve had our front door get shut hard a few times due to freak wind gusts.

I all ready whip mine closed as it is now. Doesn’t latch well.
Jeremy, on a NorthPoint Facebook group, just put them on and says they work well.
I’m hoping for that outcome.
But the fact Lippert made them....

Yeah, for 34 bucks it would be hard not to give it a try

Well that took about a minute.
Now I have nothing else to do.

Besides the fact the door stays open in the wind, I can’t tell the difference of it being there or not.

There are two hinges, I only put one on, seems good enough. I’ll put the other one on if it needs more friction.

Ok 377RLB peeps. We have a 2018 model and we just spent 11 days in Texas (HOT) to say the least. I do not have the third ac. I am pretty confident I can add it but wanted to know what unit you all used ( I would like to keep it uniformed on the roof ) maybe you can tell me where you got yours? Second thing is would it be a better idea to use the dryer breaker ( I have a stackable washer dryer ) and run the dry to the new outlet that will plug in to the pedestal? down south you usually want the A/C's to come on and start cooling before the first load of laundry hit! I will move the Max fan to the bathroom this way the wife don't have to stretch to reach the open knob.

Any ideas, products you used, how you installed, location of outlet would be great!

I added a third AC and wired it into the dryer breaker just as you envision. I have a combo WD unit so the dryer circuit was unused and available. I got my AC from a local shop, and installed it myself. I wrote up the process on here

Mods to 377 RLBH?

Did an AC Mod to my bedroom and 3rd AC units. Basically did a DIY version of the RV Airflow system. I didn’t take any pictures or video it because you can see plenty of videos on YT.

I used 1” styrofoam board sourced from Lowe’s. Cost was about $6 per piece, I used 2 pieces. Already had the AC foil tape. Really increased the air flow considerably. Also, surprisingly made the units much quieter.

Here’s a video I got the idea from

How cool did the two ACs keep it? We're about to move into a 2016 model we just bought (full-time) and I'm looking at whether I want to go ahead and add a 3rd AC before I leave the comfortingly cool home for good.

Welcome to the forum. IMHO, 2 ACs can be fine as long as their installation is correct. By this I mean make sure the divider between the intake and exhaust sides are in place properly and sealed. Also, remove or trim the black vent rings that extend into the ducting to allow better air flow. Last, tape the gaps between the ceiling and ductwork to ensure cold air isn’t going into the attic space.

If you’re going to be in someplace like Florida, Texas or Arizona during the summer a third AC would definitely help. If you’re going to be in milder weather states during the summer, a third AC isn’t necessary

I saw your mod for the black vent rings and gap sealing, already purchased the tape! I also just watched a Grand Design AC Mod video you posted, I assume that's what you mean about the intake/exhaust divider. I didn't get a chance to see if the dealer did it (I assume not?), but I'll also need to look at the evaporator coils and see if they need a good cleaning.

The plan is to head to Nova Scotia next month and then work our way towards Tennesse for Thanksgiving, so we'll probably manage to stay away from too much crazy heat until next year. The wife has other fun ideas we can spend money on like replacing the kitchen island with a slightly longer one and a large workstation w/apron sink... So maybe that'll get some attention first.

Thanks Tom!
