Well... I've been fixing all the little issues with my new Pinnacle 32RLTS that it left the factory/Dealer with...no big deal...I'm good with tools. But, Then I'm here on the first camping trip and was thinking about how good the disc brakes are working...so I decided to take a closer look....couldn't believe what I found and can't believe Jayco sent this out the factory like this....There is a reason the disc brake upgrade comes with 17.5" tires....the 16" rims rub on the brakes!! My dealer is calling Jayco now and telling them to send the tires I was suppose to have on here.

Not too happy right now

Not good :-( We haven't picked ours up yet but based on your previous post I asked the dealer to check my tires! Guess we won't be taking it off the lot if the tires/wheels are not as promised. I hope no other damage was done by this.

Wow, good thing you found this. Could have been very serious problem/accident. Complete brake loss at the wrong time.

I would just upgrade to the Boar wheels and tires. The 245/70/19.5 is the identical dimensions. Is 16 ply, H rated, at 4940 lbs. This is a standard tire that is readily available every where. Making replacement much easier.

At least one of the crossover brake lines on the caliper was rubbing on the rim...I managed to reposition it for a little clearance...I would have had a brake failure soon.

Maybe this should be a recall if they sent other units out like this?

All rims have contact marks on the inside and two are gouged badly. see second pic above

That borders on criminal. Terrible negligence! Jayco would have had to pay dearly if something catastrophic had happened. That's what happens when you lack a QC program.

Thank you Jayco and Great American RV Breaux Bridge, LA for making this right.

The tires and wheels ordered in the upgrade package finally came in....

They look good and should have a good long service life. I have had no issues with the Endurance tires that came with ours but the tread depth on them makes me think they might need replacing sooner than the heavier trailer service tires like yours. There are some trailer tires with deeper treads available for 16 inch wheels so when it comes time I will shop.

Not trying to spend your money but the Roadmaster shock kit we put on ours made a nice difference in the ride.

Learjet, the tires and brakes look great. A much tougher tire than the Endurance.

Glad you were able to work this out with your dealer and Jayco.

As previously stated, I would strongly recommend adding shocks. They improve the ride and will dramatically improve the spring life.

I installed my own disc brakes (E-etrailer with larger dia studs as well.) and my own HydraStar hydro-elec pak along with oil bath (wet) bearings - replaced the cheap chinese factory bearings with USofA bearings (Timpken). Along with shocks (replaced the cheap chinese U-bolts as well with USofA larger dia. U-bolts on leaf springs, one of the best upgrades I did to my Pinnacle. As others have said, electric brakes should be outlawed on heavier trailers.
