There is nothing attached on the surface, if they put an expansion joint in or not we don't know for sure, as one year to the month of the initial repair we again have a crack. Our Dealer tells us that Jayco found some additional repairs that need to be done. We're waiting to hear when this will be done now.

Navy Guy! I have the same trailer and problem! Been turned down by insurance and Jayco since second owner! Trailer was bought about Oct. 2018. I bought it Jan. 2019. Jayco said I was second owner that deleted warranty! BS! Itís their structural prob, not standing behind it! If you have had yours fixed, would you let me know how and where? Thanks Navy Guy!!!

Joan617! Did Vogt do a good job? Has it cracked again, and did you have to pay out of pocket, and how much? Have the same problem, live around Ft. Worth and going to pay out of pocket! Would appreciate any info you could give me! Have a good one and safe travels!!!

Just saw on Facebook that a new 2021 377 had the expansion joint from the factory. Such a waste of time and money that they refused to out one on mine when I asked for it.

Well I'll be. Sure enough, that looks like an expansion joint. RV Trader listing:

So now I’m contemplating simply making a plunge cut in my 2019. Is it just that simple to make a cut and cover it up with the appropriate trim piece?

Thatís what I was going to do. Cut it, sealant and trim. I havenít found the correct trim yet. Presume itís some sort of t-mounding.

Really beside the point but it's common sense that any owner "improvements" that cause a "stiffer" ride or limit movement are going to affect frame flex.
Jayco actually adds tubular steel in the area of the Pre-crack.

You are correct. I have the crack and do not have air bags. 2019 chevy silverado Duramax Dully Moride pinbox and PullRite hitch.

So after a botched repair attempt by the local inept Camping World and pointing out to Jayco I have the same tire contact issue for which they have a safety recall on the 2017 North Points, they managed to get me scheduled for a factory repair this past September instead of waiting till June of next year. Since having the issue with CW, Jayco picked up the unit from the house instead of the dealer. Although it spent 7 weeks at the factory, the repair looks awesome. They removed the front section and welded in the reinforcements as talked about in other comments, installed the longer screws and reinstalled the panel. Paint and trim is excellent. They also went a step beyond and replaced the filon under the fifth wheel where my truck punched a hole while turning at the top of a steep hill. Jayco saw the damage, contacted me because it was not reported on the transport documents and thought the transport guy did it. I explained what I had a done and asked for them to quote me the repair while it was there. $650. Then they just fixed it for free siting my honesty for not throwing it off on the transport company. I was shocked but grateful. With regard to the tire contact, they installed the bump stops and replaced all the GoodYear Endurance tires. I was surprised by this as well because they didn't appear hurt at all but it seemed they didn't want to take the risk od blow out linking back to the contact. While communication with them is slow, Michelle was great to work with and all in all, my experience with Jayco was positive.

Mine is going back to Jayco for the third time in the coming days-waiting on pickup.

I was told the ďnew wallĒ that was installed was not actually the new design. It was built wrong, so they will be replacing the entire wall again, then putting in the relief cut as well.

Yeah, I didn't get the relief cut. Not sure why they'd NOT put that in? Can't hurt.
