Water Leak

I have a 2021 5th wheel jayco 31 RSTS. Problem is I hook up water to outside spigot at campground. When I turn it on the connection for water to fill up fresh water tank is dripping.I put another hose on that connection and moved it to the hose pass thru. definitely leaking at connection and not behind it. Any help would be appreciated. Some just suggested put a plug in it. Also no water going in fresh water tank. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Jayco Owner's Forum. I hope this not your first trip in your new camper. I also have a 321RSTS. Although you can put water into the Fresh water tank at an RV park, it's rarely required. Turn the handles on your water controls to 'City Water' and run the hose into the right connection.
This should get you through your stay at the campsite. The fresh water tank is used primarily for boon-docking (no water available). You'll still want to troubleshoot the leak, but maybe there's no rush? Your dealer (warranty) could probably handle it once you're back from camping. You could also contact a RV mobile repair service to open the bottom and search for the source.
I have a post in this forum 'Fully Understanding the Nautilus 2.5 Controls' - I read the manual and still couldn't figure it out. This post was to help confirm my assumptions. That's not your problem now but if there's confusion, hopefully it can help.
Summary: enjoy your camping and troubleshoot the fresh water tank leak at home (or at the dealer where they can fix it for free... maybe)

There's a special wrench used to tighten hoses in our RV. I had a leak on the back of my water heater... found it on my maiden voyage. I opened the wall behind the Nautilus and tightened it by hand, then ordered this wrench to do a better job once back home. I picked it up on Amazon.

Lol, been trying to find a video on how this gadget works. I am sure it does as you say, not sure what slides in what

The tool is used to tighten these connectors. Each end is different size to fit both sides of the connectors.

Thank You, I presume the funny shape allows it to reach awkward spots? I had a leaking water heater right of the bat, and in a very inconvenient spot to get to. Somehow I fixed it, not sure how, using channel lock, but broke off one of the wings in the process. I will go ahead and order one.

leaking at the Nautilus outside connection where the water hose attaches? I'm sure you've put a new rubber gasket in that... and even tried using two? Here is a Jayco Parts Catalog and I believe the part you may need is 0159054 (see page 18-6). Here is the order form and here is their webpage with their contact info.

Should you need it, here is the form to email Jayco Customer Service. Since this is part of the Nautilus system, if there is reason to contact them, here is their webpage and phone(574)259-7838

It may be smartest to simply swap that connector with another until you can find the proper replacement.

We had what I believe sound like the problem you have...maybe. anyway it was on our 28.5RSTS. What I guessed that happened in our case is that when we had our unit winterized(I usually do this myself) the shop did not do a blowout first this leaving water between the point that you hook your water hose to and the house that draws rv antifreeze thru your system. I had a hairline crack at a fitting just on the inside of the wall from the water hookup. Just a thought. Something to look into I guess.
