Sounds like you're good to go.

I dump it into the outlet, about 1/2 gallon and lift the hose to get the antifreeze into the pump

Just reading reviews on rv antifreeze and so many people are giving one star reviews saying it froze in their garage in the 20 degree. It's supposed to freeze don't people ever read up on rv antifreeze?

I flush the black tank until I get clean water; then drain. Add 1 gallon to black tank and open valve into macerator pump. Run macerator and you will get pink out of discharge hose. Been doing this for 4 years and it seems to give adequate protection.

I believe it is kind of difficult to say how much anti freeze to use. I always use as much as needed. Basically, I blow all the line with air first to removed as much water as possible. Empty all tanks and closed the valve. I ran antifreeze at every tap, toilet, washer and ensure lots of it come out, about 4 gallons. once than done I blow that stuff out a bit, do not spend as much time on the second process and at that time empty all the tanks (black and gray)with the Sanicon, so lots of antifreeze is pump out to ensure it will not freeze. Do not need to add more for the sanicon. Like several mention, antifreeze is cheap insurance and the sanicon bailed me out a couple of time on an uphill issue when dumping, so it will stay there for sure.
