2018.5 S2RV Front Outside Clearance Lights

Recently sealed front outside clearance lights to fiberglass cap. Now have at least one that’s inoperative. (Obviously wish I had noticed before sealing.) Has anyone found where they can obtain these LED clearance light’s?

I also have one failed light. The problem is Jayco puts the lights on and seals them before being painted. Then when painted they just mask off the light and paint. When I removed mine today, I discovered this, so it will need to be the same light or one larger to cover things up. He factory light is LED but not a sealed unit so moisture gets under the lens which probably causes the failures. The factory light is tear dropped shape and measures 3” wide and 4” long and everything I can find is 2 1/2” x 3 1/2” or smaller. Starting in 2020 they redesigned the front and rear caps to use the small 3/4” press in LED lights……so I have been drawing and finally 3D printed a test piece that will replace the factory light, cover the old paint area and use a 3/4” press in LED light. Going to take a few tweaks to get it like I want it, then need to find a printing filament that will hold up to the elements.

I followed Ed's lead and am very satisfied with these lights. They are larger and look great, especially at night.

The 2018.5's and 2019's are completely different shape than the earlier ones. The style Ed4ster used would expose a lots of the unpainted surface around them as the 18.5/19's are shorter and wider. I did find one that was the exact same size as the factory Jayco light but it was not LED, just an incandescent bulb.

Above is what I found when I needed to replace one of mine.

I had a thread on it also.

I found those but they are the same as what was on mine, they are not a sealed unit and moisture can still get inside and do damage.

This is what I ended up doing for mine. Because of the way Jayco installs and then paints, I wanted to make sure it completely covered the unpainted area. I designed up a new housing to accept a 3/4” sealed push in type LED light and 3D printed them out of ASA Filament. Very happy with how they turned out and the LED lights are easy to replace if one ever fails.

They look great… one of these days I want to pick your brain on the 3D printer.
