Sleep number mattress

Has anyone put a sleep number bed in a Seneca 37TS? If so what size and do you like it?

Below is a link to our forum's best search method. (Skip past the few 'commercials' at the top).
This is our search page, enter "Sleep Number" (include the quotes) and you may likely find the info you seek.
If you decide to get one, please return to this thread and post your opinion. Thanks.

After I had my back surgery, I couldn't stay in bed at home for more than a couple of hours. I spent many weeks sleeping in a recliner. We went to a nearby Sleep Number store and told my problem to the salesman. He had me lay on one with the adjustable base and put me in the "zero G" position. My back pain decreased so much we bought one on the spot. Expensive? You bet. Worth every single cent. Almost infinitely adjustable for firmness and angle. It's probably the last bed we'll ever have to buy.

In our lifetime, we have owned three... today we own NONE.

Is there a reason why we don't have one of those three still?

Nothing but nothing is worse than having a bed that fails in the middle of the night and you have nowhere to sleep. Then having to wait 3-4 weeks for a "warranty part" that you have to pay for and then fix the bed yourself. Have you tried to sleep on the floor ? Not Fun.

But - when they work, they are a nice mattress. If you like a really firm mattress, you might be disappointed - I slept on the highest setting for the entire time.

The only other thought - It requires 120v AC all the time. If it did not have power, it may not keep the firmness setting and you could wake up to a saggy mattress.

We bought one 7-8 years ago and love it. I sleep a little softer at 45 now and my wife is around 35. I find that when we plug it in after a week or so sitting, the air pump does not need to come on.

It was pricey but we have never had any problems with it and one day, it may get moved into the stick and bricks.

Mine is called a rv king but I am not sure of the dimensions.

We have a Sleep Number in the sticks and bricks and we ended up putting a mattress from Mattress Insider and we both sleep better in the RV and are thinking about replacing the sleep number in the house with one.

THAT was where we were at too... after a few nights of lousy sleep in the sticks/bricks on the last Select Comfort... I got up in the middle of the night and went out and slept in the Seneca... After a couple of nights, she and the dogs decided that they wanted to sleep in the Seneca too...

NOTHING beats a good nights sleep... and sometimes it does not matter where that happens to be... Many times it does not matter where, but how comfortable the mattress is!

I recall each of ours lasted about 8 years... then slowly started to fall apart / leak / break. and the warranty after 7 years of proration is "you pay to fix it"

Well thanks! Another something to worry about. LOL

I have been thinking about breaking it down and doing a inspection.

Before you do... get replacement o-rings for ALL of the hose connections, so you can put it back together - as they often do not survive when unhooking from the pump or the mattress. Some pumps also have a white plastic fitting that is inserted into the pump (and twists) where the hose is then connected to - It has a different o-ring that shrunk and hardened and eventually leaked.

Think I’m just going to buy a Casper Hybrid mattress and call it good.

We've had a sleep number for many years - wonderful mattress!
Great for wife and I and highly recommended by late Plott hound mix and current beagle

We replaced our jayco mattress in the first year after a season of back pain.
We decided to go with Endy because of the 120 day no questions asked sleep trial.
Secondly they make a queen short and are manufactured in Canada.
Also sold as a "bed in a box" it is easy to get it in the rv.

We purchased a Wilderness Montana Hybrid RV queen. They had the sleep on it for a period as a trail and send it back for a full refund including shipping if not satisfied. Great Mattress! The only drawback was having to change out the platform lifts as it's much heavier than the one that came with the trailer.

Do you remember which mattress you purchased from Mattress Insider? I see they have various options to choose from and different models.

Same with us the Montana Hybrid is more comfortable than our high end sticks and bricks one. Had two years now it's still like new!
