When to do first service (S2RV/ B6.7) and break-in questions

Delivery miles on the odometer (we picked it up on the west coast) were ~2300 when we bought it.

The S2RV maintenance schedule indicates the vehicle should be checked in the first 2500 miles or so for various things, but it doesn't look like service is performed.

Then, the first oil change is at 12k, I believe.

Has anyone done the initial 2500mi service/ had it done? About what did it cost?

Are you all waiting until 12k to do your first oil change on the 6.7? Or is there logic in doing it sooner since the engine probably has about a billion short cycles on it between Jayco assembly and being in dealer inventory?

Next question about break in. I assume it's already broken-in. Most of these trucks in commercial settings don't get break-ins anyhow and they last forever with good maintenance. SO, I assume we'd be okay to drive it from down here in Southern CA up to Seattle no prob, observing normal freeway speeds (65-70) for that long?

ISB 6.7 every 15k.

I had mine done at 12k when it was at a Freightliner dealer in Cedar Rapids for DEF issues. I caught a summer special so the entire service was 400.00 to include fuel filters.

The schedule for the 6.7 is 15k miles OR annually. You have to remember, a lot of the time the chassis can be 6 months to a year old, then it isn’t run much during transport and coach assembly and then driven to the dealers and while not in these times, some could have sat for 6 months on the dealers lot. Ours was also purchased on the west coast and then another 800 miles home. This is why once I got mine home, I did a full service on it to set a baseline for service. I have always done this on any used vehicle I buy.

You can find your chassis build date. I have snow on the ground and have to head to work this morning, or I'd go out there and take pics for you, but mine is 27 Aug 2021,

Even knowing that, I think an initial service done early makes a lot of sense too

Thanks. Chassis was built 8/31/21, rest of the coach was completed in November.

You all are correct, oil drain/refill interval for the 6.7 is 15k.

I did find this page on Freightliner's website which suggests a 6k check for the S2RV, but for the oil change, it says reference the engine owner's manual. I'll have to dig that out.
