Two sets of keys useful
We have a 2012 40 FER WITH two sets of keys (aside from one fits all which is not our situation). I don't see anyone noting the usefulness of 2 or more sets of keys....people do misplace or lose a key ring so having spare(s) is a very good thing. No longer towing, we have left a set with the campground owner should there be an emergency, should we forget to move our set from one vehicle to the other before driving to the site, etc.
Don't wonder why, be happy!

I’m glad you asked. I’ve wondered the same thing. In fact I stopped carrying mine because the grey Kemp opens everything. Including the outside shower.

Anyone else know what the second key goes to?

My dealer told me it was for the outside shower door, but didn't know why a separate key for that. Jayco doing its voodoo again!

Outside shower. The gray one works for everything else, including dead bolt.

The second key is definately for the outside shower. Try it, you'll like it.

Deadbolt Maybe?
I see that most people say it is for a shower however, my rig uses a separate key for the deadbolt on the front door.

I was told and shown during my demo that the black key was for the outside shower, and indeed it does. Now I plan to try the grey key. If that works too, the black key will be redundant. Their sticker should say one key fits all except the outside shower.

I believe it should be to a lockbox. Do you have one under the bed?

Haha, nope. The under-bed storage is open to the storage area in the front that goes all the way through the trailer.

We have a 28BHBS. We have 3 keys. One grey for the forward side door, a blk key for the rear bath door and a silver key that fits bote the storage cabinets and the shower door. Ask the salesman.

This is just speculation but if the "main" key fits everything and the "other" key fits the shower door but not the other locks, it may be a limited access key to allow someone to use the shower without having access to other locked doors. I have seen the same thing with automobiles that have a "Valet" key which allows access to move the car but will not unlock the glove box or trunk.

That is an excellent point! I didn't think of that! Unfortunately, I can test that theory on my key because I left them with a friend for emergencies. I am on the road and not near them for a long time.
