Shouldn't they all be hot when tv is on? I mean once it's plugged in to trailer they all have a purpose right?

trailer brake prong is only hot when brakes are applied, running or parking light prong is only hot when lights are on , left and right turn signals are only hot and will blink when the turn signals are on

on the tv but I am not sure which holes for you to put the probes in and what setting on your ohm meter to use

They have 7 prong plug testers just like your regular 7 prong plug. That way you can test everything with ease. You might have blown your Batt.+ fuse in your TV if you where hooked up to the TT. Then it will not charge the TT battery.

How would that have gotten blown? I had only been on 2 camping trips with it and always hooked up to power.

Be sure how to use an ohm meter otherwise you can toasted in a hurry. The cheaper ohm meters are not circuit protected.

When you are hooked up to your TV and then to a reverse polarity connection the TV Batt.+ blows. unless there is a relays and the fuse is before the relays. Hope I not confuse you now?

ohm meters usually have three ports to put the probe wires into and numerous settings on the dial. the wires would go into the positive and negative holes on the ohm meter and not the one that looks like a horse shoe then the tester would have to be set to the low dc position not ac but dc volts black negative and red positive on ohm meter and touch to battery for a second and see what the reading is ... then you would know how to set it for checking the truck ... may be easier though just to go to auto parts store and have it checked lol

ok in English all 12 volt circuits on a trailer plug on your tv should be protected by a fuse which if a short in the wiring occurs it will blow the fuse instead of catching your vehicle on fire .... but we don't even know if that circuit was connected to your tv plug yet so that's the first thing to look at ... thus the test of that prong with vehicle ignition in the on position

you can also use a regular aa or aaa battery you have around the house to check and see if the ohm meter is on the right setting ... it should read 1.5 volts

Sounds like you had polarity reversed. Try red to positive and black to negative side.
