There’s a Gap under rug when slide is retracted

There’s a gap under the rug when slide is fully retracted in my 28BHBE Jay Flight. The gap is on the right side of the slide and there’s a 2 inches gap under the carpet flap that gets stepped on. I called the dealership and I was told that that’s normal. This is a new trailer. I’ve only used it 3 times, I noticed this last time we used it.

Is this normal?

Your feedback will be greatly appreciate it

Thanks

When my slide is retracted there is a small gap. Can you post a pic so we can look at it?

This is a normal condition with 'through-the-frame' slides and not recommended to step on the side floor when fully retracted.

Ours is also new, same thing since day one. I'd say it is normal.

Can you post a picture? Most floor level slides have a gap when retracted.
