Water connection

Since getting our Whitehawk new its pretty much just keeps falling apart. But the one that bugs me the most is the city water connection. Its such a poor design , the parts are cheap plastic and the weight of the hose just snaps it. I have set it up different ways but just looking at it makes it break. Such cheap junk.

Welcome aboard

I fully agree with you. I use a 90 degree garden hose adaptor. Takes a lot of strees off the fitting.

I've also seen people put the blue water filter on the RV side. That has a lot of weight too. I put that on the source water side so its not pulling down on the connection.

Totally Agree with you. Our 324 BHTS has a docking station for the water and cable hookups that couldn't have been designed and made more poorly/cheaply if they tried. Replacing the whole set up is my next mod. I've had the parts since last year, but didn't get around to it. I'll post photos when I finally tackle it.

I found this in another group. Saved it because I may try and do something similar. Not sure I like all the bends but it has some promise...

Elbow

Get the 90 degree elbow adapter from Camco or similar item. I believe the part number was given in an earlier post. It works.

X2. Depending on the city water and black tank flush location use a 45 or 90 degree brass elbow. Teflon tape the inlet connection. The factory cap or a PVC plug works when the elbow is not used.
