Removed the Ford rear mud flaps and welded up brackets to hold 12"x18" flaps that will better protect the new 5th wheel. Less than 40 bucks including stainless steel hardware.

Didn't actually do anything to it, but I ordered a TruXedo TruXport tonneau cover for it.
Then later we got a warning about a potential evacuation (not mandatory, just a warning) due to a prairie fire driven by the 60+ MPH winds out here today, so we loaded up the dog and went out to see what we could see. The fire appeared to stay a few miles north of us as it headed rapidly east. At last report there was still no containment, and with the exceptionally high winds, I doubt that they will get a handle on it before night.
My 93 year old father-in-law says that it looks a lot like the Dust Bowl years out there today with the mix of smoke and dust. A fair part of eastern Colorado is going to become part of Kansas today.

Love the ranch hand! Looks great. A ranch hand brush guard is in my near future once funds allow

Many thanks.
I went with the "lighter" summit model. The legend has a much higher rating but I'm not to worried about all of that. It's still a think bumper with a lot of protection.

Mine's pulling "commuter" duty this week. Will probably move the kid seat back into the "mom" mobile this weekend. Or maybe I'll mix it up and put the kid's seat in the YJ! Only if the weather's nice though.

Unfortunately I'll never be able to do that to mine. It wouldn't fit in the garage if I did!

Ordered a new ARE MX series cap for the new truck! Only add-ons are the Yakima tracks, front tilt-in slider window and headliner. After taxes and install, it was $2349.

Gents it's one of those things.
Just have to build a bigger garage.
Mine sits outside. But then again it's on the road daily and I'm putting about 50k a year on it so to me it's not a deal breaker.

I have wanted to do something very similar for some time now. I just can't bring myself to do it seeing how RV season lasts so long down here.
Truck would look sick with one on though.
Post pics when you throw it on the ram.

Washed it. I'm sure it's going to rain now.

I wish our camping season was longer...6 months isn't enough. Pics will be coming for sure!

Could be a bunch worse. One of our ranch hands is a great mechanic. So he's being paid anyway and is buttoning it back up right now. Blackie is 15 years old and not driven much. Time to replace some gaskets and tune up other stuff. Don't need an expensive newer one.

Will wash it.. Just because after 5000 miles and a snowstorm and rain storms and mud it needed spiffing up.
Cant see out the windows nor do the headlights illuminate anything. The problem is driving it back from the car wash at nine below zero.
And in two days two feet of snow so washing may be futile.

Drove it! Was able to put 403 miles on it yesterday, so now it's up to 852 miles.

It's off duty as the family hauler this week. We're back to the "Family Truckster" (GMC Acadia). So I had to move the kid's seat again. If the weather was going to be nicer, I'd have moved it to the YJ, but it's supposed to be crappy all week.
It'll need an oil change soon though, gotta get that done before "season" picks up again!
