John, I guess my biggest question is how did you attach the side rails to the thin walls of the pantry cabinet?

Beautiful work — stain matches perfectly. That is just what we need to “expand” the kitchen. Thanks for the great info!

How did you secure the rails to those thin pantry closet walls?

I made an H frame inside the cabinet on both sides with three-quarter inch by 2 inch stock and secured the rails to that if you’d like in a couple days I can post a picture of it

Looks like a nice snug fit and did you use any horizontal members along the back wall for support? ( like a 3 sided "H" frame)

No just both sides nothing in the back the drawers hold everything in place and I screwed the sides to the wall

Okay, this is what I ended up doing. A quick and inexpensive fix. Rather than add drawers to one of my cabinets I found this on Amazon for $33.99. It worked out pretty good considering the 12" opening I had to work with. I did make one modification. I zip tied a this bamboo stick and a thin dowel to the bottom of the drawers so they wouldn't slide or mistakenly get pulled out and dump there contents onto the floor. I hope this helps someone else. Drawers would have been nicer but much more work and money.

Let me refresh the question, what storage ideas do you have for a 16XRB? Again, drawers are a clear issue.

you are pretty much screwed! Our 16XRB was rammed we didn't need drawers lol
What actually might work is added drawers to the kitchen seats. That space under the seats is a PITA to get to and is usually waisted space

I have the 195RB which also has no drawers for silverware or anything else. I added 2 shelves and that helped. I also bought a matching cabinet door that I am installing in one of the seats to make it into more accessible storage. I also added bed lifters to make that storage more usable on a quick basis but with my heavy Zinus mattress I may add a power bed lifter.

16XRB storage
The bigger the trailer, the more places for drawers. I’ve seen where someone got rid of the bench seat and converted to storage.
