Low hanging jack stands and rv snap pads

The rear jack stands on our new 2019 Jayco 355mbqs concern me as they are sitting pretty low. I ordered some rv snap pads and now realize they will be a little closer to the ground. Now I don't plan on jumping any curbs but is this an issue with low lying jackstands on the Ground Control 3.0? They can't be moved up any more as the factory put them all the way up as far as they would go. Not sure if I have an issue or not.

I'll let you know...my Snap Pads are supposed to be delivered Thursday for my 377. Mom ordered them for me for my birthday.

Your family always seems to give to best gifts! Do you give them your list? [emoji1787]

Actually....I thought I was getting these awhile back because my mom felt bad that she didn't get me anything for the RV for Christmas. So I told her to get me the pads. She called yesterday and said they were being delivered Thursday for my birthday. I figured she just forgot...she was actually just snooping for birthday ideas 2 weeks after Christmas!

Hey, as long as the gifts keep coming why quibble over the timing!

Let us know what you think about them. I know they were a very popular item over on the Heartland forum

Snap Pads were one of the first things I bought for our 5th wheel and I love them.

I sprayed them with WD40 before "snapping" them on. So far I haven't had any concern over their clearance. We got to a somewhat muddy spot and they work great!

I have lowered my middle and rear jacks one hole...then I got snap pads and I haven’t had any trouble.
I guess it all depends on how far back your rear jacks are from the back wheel.
I’ve seen some jacks a lot farther back than mine.

Just remember to soap them up before install. I broke the lip on one of mine...Snap Pad sent me a new one, no questions asked.

I also spray painted my pads black again before putting the snap pads on.

Good call Klassic! I wouldn't have thought of that until after I put the Snap Pads on! I'll pull mine off and get them painted before attaching.

They look great when they aren’t so rusty.

Klassic sounds as anal as I am. I also painted mine before I installed the snap pads. My pads actually came before my trailer came in and I haven’t had any clearance issues.

Mine came yesterday. Since I'm new with this 5'er and it's brand new, I think I'm only gonna put four of the six on to start with, two front, two middle, and hold off on the rear as the rear is pretty low as it is. This will add at least another 1" thickness that I don't need right now until I see how well I get around without it dragging.

I’ll put mine on the rear and take measurements before and after...maybe it’ll help you decide.

Remember the rules tho...pics or it didn’t happen!

For some reason I was thinking you were talking about the stabilizer jacks on the back of the trailer. If you are this might solve the dragging the stabilizer trouble:

https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Save-A-Jack-p/saj-u.htm

I have never tried them. You also might want to check for better pricing.
